Just days after visiting Jimbo Fisher camp, four-star 2019 prospect Jalen Curry announced his commitment to Florida State. The Stafford (Tx.) Stafford product is just another one of FSU’s big blue-chip pulls from the State of Texas which include current defenders LB Dontavious Jackson and DT Marvin Wilson.
According to 247 Composite rankings, the 6’2 200 lb. wide-out is ranked No. 128 overall in the country, No. 22 overall wide receiver and No. 18 player from the talent rich state of Texas. He holds a total of 24 offers from powerhouses that include Oklahoma, Alabama, Ohio State and Georgia among others.
The incoming high school junior first received an offer from Florida State in March of 2017 and Jimbo Fisher camp this past week was his first time on campus.
Florida State’s 2019 class bolsters its No. 1 ranking among teams in the ACC. Of the eight commitments in the class, five are blue-chip caliber players. Curry is the first wide receiver in FSU’s 2019 class.
Curry is the third blue-chip commitment for Florida State in the past two days, joining 2018 four-star receiver Marquez Ezzard and 2019 five-star DB Akeem Dent.
