Welcome back to another year of weekly updates on Florida State commits and targets.
One player on whom FSU fans will be keeping an eye is 2018 quarterback target, Justin Fields. The 5-star from Harrison, Georgia is considered, perhaps, the top quarterback in his class. Last night, Fields and his teammates faced Rome. It was a back and forth game, which ended with Rome and its defense winning 33-21.
Fields was 21 of 30 passing with 238 yards. He finished with three total touchdowns, two through the air and one on the ground, and also one interception. Fields put on a show for those in attendance. Check out the videos below of him hurdling a defender and showing nice scrambling ability on a called-back touchdown pass.

2018 cornerback commit Asante Samuel Jr. was all over the field in St. Thomas Aquinas' 9-3 victory over St. John Bosco. The 5'9 defensive back blocked a field goal and had a late game interception that helped force overtime.
Former 2018 running back commit James Cook added on a touchdown in Miami Central's 48-24 win over Chaminade-Madonna.
Five-star CB Akeem Dent is the top commit currently for the 2019 Florida State class. Check out the video below of him making himself known in Palm Beach Central's 14-13 victory over Atlantic.

2019 running back commit Ronald Thompkins scored two touchdowns in Grayson's 35-26 defeat of Hoover. This game showcased several FSU commits, including Kenyatta Watson, Wanya Morris, and Tru Thompson. Also playing for Grayson is uncommitted linebacker commit, Owen Pappoe, who recovered a fumble for a touchdown in the victory.
That's all for this week. If you know of any stats or updates, let us know in the comments. And come back every week for updates on #Tribe18 and the future.
