We’re back with another week of updates on Florida State high school commits and targets. Every week, we check in on how future or possible future Seminoles performed in their high school games. Just last year, we were providing updates on this week’s starting quarterback for Florida State, James Blackman.

Speaking of quarterbacks, let’s start with one of, if not the top 2018 target on FSU’s board, Justin Fields. The uncommitted quarterback from Harrison High school was once again in action this past weekend, this time against North Cobb. Unfortunately for Fields, Harrison lost to North Cobb, 45-42. In the air, Fields only passed for only 83 yards and one touchdown pass. On the ground was a different story, as Fields ended the night with 205 rushing yards and three touchdowns, including runs of 1 yard, 3 yards and the below 72 yard touchdown rush.

Former Florida State running back commit, James Cook, and Miami Central won 19-17 over Booker T. Washington. Cook finished the night with just 51 yards rushing, but had a 21 yard touchdown run that turned out to be the score that would keep Central up for good.

2019 running back commit, Ronald Thompkins, and Grayson held on to win 12-7 on Saturday night against McEachern. Thompkins rushed for 112 yards and one touchdown in his team’s victory.

Speaking of Grayson, uncommitted 2018 linebacker, Owen Pappoe started off the scoring for his team with a punt block that resulted in a safety in the second quarter of the matchup with McEachern.

That's all for this week. If you know of any stats or updates, let us know in the comments. And come back every week for updates on #Tribe18 and the future.
