More talent in the trenches.

The new Florida State Seminoles coaching staff has made some noise in its young tenure, utilizing its Oregon connections to pluck some elite players from the west coast. Of course, there’s still a wealth of talent to be mined right here in the southeast, and the Seminoles tapped into their own backyard to get a signature from an offensive lineman.

Jalen Goss has signed with the ’Noles. Goss, of Lowndes High School just up the road in Valdosta, Georgia, presently measures in at 6-7, 265. He’ll certainly need to add some weight, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing, as the Florida State nutrition staff can make sure that it’s good weight.

Goss was committed to the rival Florida Gators last year, and along with FSU and UF, he also has offers from Miami, Auburn, Michigan, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Tennessee, Virginia Tech, and Oregon, among others. He was recruited to Florida State by OL coach Greg Frey.
