Welcome back to another week of updates on Florida State’s commits and targets. Each week, we try to bring you all the updates and results that we can locate from the past week’s games.

First up? The top commit for Florida State, cornerback Akeem Dent. The 2019 commit was a force on both side of the ball this last week. On defense he had two pass break ups to go along with nine tackles. On offense, Dent caught a 45 yard touchdown pass in Palm Beach Central’s 38-0 shut out of Western.

Top offensive commit, quarterback Sam Howell, rewrote the North Carolina high school record books on Friday night. Howell had one touchdown run and three touchdown passes in Sun Valley’s 30-14 win over Cox Mill. But the big story was that Howell broke the NCHSAA record for offensive yardage. The play where the record was broke? A 71 yard touchdown pass. Check it out below.

Travis Jay and Madison County blew out Lafayette, 50-20. The cornerback commit, played on offense and defense in the game. Jay returned an interception 28 yards for a touchdown in the rout.

Wide receiver target, George Pickens, had a big night in Hoover’s 42-17 win over Mountain Brook. Pickens had 204 yards receiving and three touchdown receptions. His touchdown catches were of 38 yards, 60 yards, and 88 yards.

That’s all that we have for this week. If you know of any other information, let us know in the comments. Keep checking back each week for updates on #Tribe19 and the future.
