3-star defensive back Renardo Green signs with FSU

The Seminoles add to their secondary.

Florida State has bolstered the back end of their defense with three-star Wekiva corner Renardo Green submitting his National Letter of Intent.

Anyone who has followed Green’s recruitment knows that it has been one of the more interesting stories this cycle.

FSU first offered the corner out of Apopka, FL on April 16, 2018, shortly after an unofficial visit to the Florida State campus. Green would commit that same day and his commitment held firm for quite a while.

However, Ohio State would challenge the Seminoles for Green the whole way. So much so, that he decommitted from the ’Noles on September 25th, 2018. He would re-commit a few hours later.

Despite his re-commitment, it seemed like Green was still torn. However, FSU started to pull away with Green shortly after it was announced that Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer would be retiring after the season

247Sports has Green ranked as the 49th best corner in the nation and the 52nd overall player in the state of Florida

Green is a smaller corner at 5’11, 164 pounds, but he has shown that he doesn’t shy away from contact and can play physical when he needs to. That said, a college strength and conditioning program will definitely do him some good.
