The Florida State defense was just bolstered considerably, as four-star outside linebacker Jaleel McRae has signed his letter of intent to play for the Seminoles.
McRae will head to Tallahassee by way of Bradenton, Florida, where he attended talent-rich IMG Academy. Originally from New Smyrna Beach, FL, McRae is considered the 12th-best OLB in the nation, the No. 29 player from the state of Florida, and the country’s 200th top prospect, overall.
McRae (6’2, 230) was recruited to FSU by linebackers coach Raymond Woodie, but he certainly had other option, including offers from Florida, Georgia, LSU, Texas A&M, North Carolina, NC State, UCF, Mississippi State, and Syracuse, among others. McRae could compete to see the field sooner rather than later, as he’ll be an early enrollee for the ’Noles.
