Elite 2020 athlete Jadarius McKnight commits to Florida State football

A good first get for the Seminoles in 2020.

FSU’s 2018 recruiting class was salvaged late in the process. The 2019 group already boasts some elite playmakers. And on Saturday, the Seminoles’ 2020 class got off to an impressive start as well, gaining a verbal commitment from premier athlete Jadarius McKnight.

McKnight (6’0, 195) committed to the ’Noles after attending Saturday’s Junior Day in Tallahassee, during which prospects have a chance to meet with coaches, view facilities, and tour campus. He’s a versatile talent who hails from Fort Myers (Fla.) Dunbar High School and was offered by Florida State football earlier in the day, after being offered by FSU track last year.

In addition to the Seminoles, McKnight also has offers from Miami, Notre Dame, Auburn, Tennessee, Oregon, Oregon State, and Southern Miss— and many more are likely to follow. McKnight’s FSU recruitment has been led by defensive coordinator Harlon Barnett and linebackers coach Raymond Woodie. Our Bud Elliott is providing updates on this weekend’s Florida State Junior Day, and you should check back regularly, as more commitments could be coming.
