After chatting with our sources, it is time to offer predictions for the 2018 Florida State Seminoles recruiting class. Bud Elliott and Inrgam Smith return with another episode of The Nolecast to do just that. Listen to the episode in the player below, or at this direct link.

FSU current has 16 commits. It received 4 silents this weekend, meaning players who committed to the staff, but whom want to wait to announce it. Coach Willie Taggart and his staff have done an awesome job to climb in the rankings by taking talent and filling needs with quality players. From the 60s to the teens and rising is impressive when considering the absentee recruiting done under Jimbo Fisher’s watch in October and November.

Listener question: What is the difference between an official and an unofficial visit?

Predicting the remaining targets, with notes

In the show, Elliott and Smith offer their predictions on the following seven targets. As far as we know, none of FSU’s current commitments are candidates to flip elsewhere.

QB James Foster: Is Alabama or LSU bigger competition?

RB Anthony Grant (Tennessee commit): How much will competition for carries play into this?

WR Tre’Shaun Harrison: Who came with him on his visit matters, and the vision FSU laid out for him.

WR Jordan Young (Tennessee commit): This was his first visit to a school other than Tennessee, and why that matters. And why Tennessee’s actions suggest FSU will get him.

DL Malcolm Lamar: How much did making a return visit to Tallahassee help the Seminoles for Lamar?

DL Jamarcus Chatman: Could playin time be the key to his recruitment?

LB James Miller: We discuss whether FSU is willing to sign him given his academics, and if he’ll sign.

-Prediction of final class size

-Prediction of final class rank

If we can go 5 for 7 on these final targets, I think FSU fans will be over the moon.
