Lengthy four-star receiver Maurice Goolsby commits to FSU football

The third commitment of the day for the ’Noles.

Maurice Goolsby

Last month, we ran a piece about 2019 Dunnellon (Fla.) receiver Maurice Goolsby and how he considers Florida State WR coach David Kelly to be a father figure. Today, Goolsby (6’5, 196) joined a much larger family, verbally committing to the Seminoles following the annual Garnet and Gold Spring Game at Doak Campbell Stadium in Tallahassee.

The No. 25 player in the state of Florida and the country’s No. 30 receiver, Goolsby was committed to UF for about half of 2017 before dropping the Gators three days after they lost to the ’Noles yet again. In addition to having offers from the big three Sunshine State schools, Goolsby also has offers from Georgia, USC, Tennessee, Arkansas, Auburn, North Carolina, Iowa State, and others. He is the first WR to commit to FSU’s 2019 recruiting class, which is now ranked No. 1 in the ACC and No. 2 in the nation.
