Florida State lands a commitment from top 2020 defensive back

Willie Taggart and the Seminoles continue to do something on the recruiting trail.

Willie Taggart and the Florida State Seminoles landed their 4th commitment of the 2020 recruiting class on Thursday night.

4-star defensive back Isaiah Dunson became the latest member of Taggart’s second full class as the head coach of the Seminoles.

The 6’2 175 lb junior cornerback is currently playing his high school ball at Tucker High School in Tucker, GA.

He is currently rated as the 198th best overall player in the country, the 17th best cornerback in the nation, and the 23rd best player from the state of GA per the Composite ranking.

FSU extended an offer to Dunson on May 24th of this year, and he visited campus a week later on May 31st. During that visit, he got to spend extended time with defensive coordinator Harlon Barnett and wide receivers coach David Kelly.

The visit must have made an impression on Dunson as he decided to go with the ’Noles over offers from South Carolina, Louisville, Nebraska, and NC State, among others.

Florida State’s 2020 recruiting class is now ranked as the No. 6 overall class in the country and the second-best class in the Atlantic Coast Conference according to’s Team Recruiting Rankings.
