Welcome back to another week of updates on Florida State’s commits and targets. We will work each week to report all the updates and results that we can locate from the past week’s games.

First up, the quarterback from Sun Valley High School, Sam Howell. The 2019 commit led his team to a big 38-21 victory over Porter Ridge. Howell did a little bit of everything in the game. He threw for 440 yards, rushed for 100 more and ended the game with four total touchdowns (one on the ground and three through the air). Howell also came in and played some defense for his team. Check out some of Howell’s highlights below.

Travis Jay is a commit on the defensive side of the ball for 2019, but Friday night, it was on the offensive side of the ball where he made his presence felt. Jay led his team, Madison County from a 17-0 deficit, to a 33-17 win over Florida High. Jay rushed for over 200 yards and four touchdowns, including touchdown runs of 44 and 55 yards. The second half was pretty much the Travis Jay show. Check out Jay lowering the boom in the clip below.

In the same game, was 2019 target, Raymond Woodie III. The 4-star athlete took the opening kick off back 96 yards for a touchdown.

Speaking of defensive backs making an impact on the offensive side of the ball, Brendan Gant ended up replacing the starting quarterback in his team’s 19-7 victory over Ridge Community. The 2019 defensive back commit rushed for 68 yards and a touchdown to help seal the victory. Oh, and and on the defensive side of the ball, he also was the cause of a big momentum shift when he caused a fumble in the third quarter.

Akeem Dent helped lead Palm Beach Central to a 63-7 route of Braddock. The top Florida State commit for 2019 had two tackles and a pass breakup in the blowout.

That’s all we have for this week. If you know of any other information, let us know in the comments. Keep checking back each week for updates on #Tribe19 and the future.
