The annual Under Armour All-America Game will kick off on Thursday, January 3rd in Orlando, Florida. The game is a great opportunity to see the future of college football, and especially future ’Noles. In the past, this game has featured many Florida State players, including Dalvin Cook, Jameis Winston, and Deondre Francois. This year looks to be no different, as Florida State will have 6 signees or commits participating. That number of players is the third highest for a school, only beaten by Alabama (11) and Texas A&M (7) and tied with Auburn (6). Florida State also has the most players of any ACC team and more than both of their in-state rivals combined (Miami and Florida with 2 each).
Signees
Florida State will be represented by three players who signed during the early signing period.
Jaleel McRae is a 6’2, 230 lb. 4-star linebacker from Florida. He is rated the 200th best player in the 247 composite rankings.
Kalen DeLoach is a 6’1, 200 lb. 4-star linebacker from Georgia. He is rated the 243rd best player in the 247 composite rankings.
Raymond Woodie III is a 6’1, 185 lb. 4-star safety from North Florida. Woodie III is rated the 316th best player in the 247 composite rankings.
Commits
The Seminoles will also have three players participating in the game who have committed but not yet signed.
Akeem Dent is a 6’0, 185 lb. 5-star cornerback from Florida. Dent is rated the 33rd best player in the 247 composite rankings.
Brendan Gant is a 6’2, 195 lb. 4-star safety from Florida. He is rated the 116th best player in the 247 composite rankings.
Travis Jay is a 6’2., 190 lb 4-star cornerback from Florida. He is rated the 172nd best player in the 247 composite rankings.
Targets
Florida State is also pursuing the following players.
George Pickens is a 6’5, 205 lb. 4-star wide receiver, committed to Auburn. Pickens is ranked the 36th best player in the 247 composite rankings.
Kaiir Elam is a 6’1, 180 lb. 4-star cornerback from Florida. Ranked the 61st best player in the 247 composite rankings. FSU will battle Miami and Georgia for Elam.
Arjei Henderson is a 6’2, 190 lb. 4-star wide receiver from Texas. He is ranked the 126th best player in the 247 composite rankings. The Seminoles will fight against Georgia, Florida, Penn State, and LSU for Henderson’s signature.
Jaquaze Sorrells is a 6’3, 280 lb. 4-star defensive tackle from Florida. He is ranked the 169th best player in the 247 composite rankings. South Carolina is thought to be the favorite for Sorrells.
Shammond Cooper is a 6’2, 205 lb. 4-star linebacker from Missouri. Cooper is ranked the 293rd best player in the 247 rankings. Some think Cooper might commit to Illinois at the game, and then possibly visit other schools, FSU included, before signing day.
