It’s been a busy last Saturday of 2019 for the Florida State Seminoles football team. Earlier this morning, FSU landed a commitment from running back transfer Jashaun Corbin. The `Noles followed that up with a huge commit from FIU offensive tackle Devontay Taylor.
The offensive tackle made the commitment public via his twitter account:
I would like to thank all the programs that reached out. With that being said, I’m excited to announce that I’ve committed to Florida State #GoNoles pic.twitter.com/5RQ2HTR68m

Taylor started 25 of the last 26 games for FIU. The 6’4 lineman played 33 games total for the Panthers and will look to step in immediately at right tackle for Florida State. He is a January enrollee who will be immediately eligible to play for FSU.
Florida State will continue to look for other offensive linemen transfers on the market. The offensive line has been a position that has consistently ranked in the bottom third of most NCAA rankings for the past two years. Devontay Taylor looks to be the first piece for Coach Norvell and his staff’s solution to the need at tackle.
