Florida State’s pass rush has some help coming it’s way in 2020 in the form of defensive end Josh Griffis, who committed to the ’Noles today.
The Seminoles have been trending up for the IMG Academy star since offering him in February. Griffis, a one-time Gators commit, rescinded his pledge to UF five days after receiving an offer from Florida State.
Despite not making it official until today, Griffis was in attendance for Florida State’s spring game last weekend, and had been active on social media with other FSU recruits, hinting that his commitment could be coming at the spring game:

He didn’t pop at the spring game but a couple of weeks later and he’s officially a Seminole.

The 6’4 237lb defensive end is currently rated as a 3-star prospect and ranked as the 28th best weakside defensive end in the country, per 247Sports.
It is still quite early for rankings, and Griffis has certainly boosted his stock as of late—particularly after a strong showing at The Opening: Orlando. Look for Griffis to jump in the rankings throughout his senior season.
