Florida State has made the shortlist of another bluechip prospect, having been named to four-star Caziah Holmes’ top seven. Holmes (5’11.5, 179), from Florida’s Cocoa High School, is a versatile recruit who’s considered the nation’s No. 9 athlete for the class of 2020.

Holmes is also deemed the Sunshine State’s No. 28 prospect, as well as the 190th best player in the country. FSU has done a nice job getting Holmes on campus since offering him last Halloween. Recruited by Donte’ Pimpleton, Holmes has been in Tallahassee for Junior Days during both February and April.

The other six schools to make Holmes’ final seven are Florida, Kentucky, Penn State, Tennessee, Miami, and Auburn, with the Nittany Lions in the lead, as of now. He also has offers from Ohio State, Michigan, and Ole Miss, among others.

Holmes will be announcing his collegiate decision on August 9 and is expected to make it official during December’s Early Signing Period.
