The top commitment to Florida State football’s 2020 recruiting class is presently four-star receiver Malachi Wideman, and the Seminoles added another threat out wide when fellow blue-chipper Ja’Khi Douglas committed to FSU on July 4th. Could the ’Noles be in for more fireworks on the outside?
Perhaps. Today, four-star WR Arian Smith took to Twitter to announce his top 8 schools, and it’s a list that begins with Florida State. It also includes Oklahoma and a host of SEC schools: Auburn, Tennessee, Alabama, Georgia, LSU, and Florida. Additionally, Smith has offers from Miami, Michigan, Notre Dame, and Texas A&M, among others.
The Seminoles got on Smith (6’1, 170) early, offering him in February of 2018. He’s made his way to Tallahassee from Lakeland a few times since, unofficially visiting and camping last year and attending Junior Day this year. Smith’s FSU recruitment is being led by Odell Haggins and Ron Dugans.
I would like to thank every school that recruited me but I would also like to turn all my interest and attention to these TOP 8 SCHOOLS ‼️@GatorsFB @OU_Football @LSUfootball @FSUFootball @Vol_Football @AuburnFootball @FootballUGA @AlabamaFTBL @GeauxEdits‼️ @LHSDreadnaughts pic.twitter.com/p1NJ9uWd5N
