Florida State got some positive news on the recruiting trail today, and at a position of extreme need. Amarius Mims tweeted his top eight schools, and the Seminoles made the cut.
Mims (6’7, 295) is a 2021 offensive tackle prospect from Bleckley County High School in central Georgia. In fact, he’s the highest ranked player in the entire Peach State, a composite five-star recruit who’s considered the No. 3 tackle in the nation.
As you can see in his tweet included below, Mims has the ’Noles in his top eight with LSU, Georgia, Alabama, South Carolina, Auburn, Florida, and Clemson. FSU has already gotten Mims on campus, as he attended Junior Day on April 6 before earning his offer from Florida State on May 8.
Mims also has offers from Georgia Tech, Penn State, and Tennessee— although he can expect a lot more to come. Presently, the Bulldogs are considered the favorite to win his services.
I would like to thank God and all the universities that have shown interest in me in the past months but with that being said I’ll be narrowing my Top 8 schools down to..Recruitment 100% open pic.twitter.com/e2MxRXfo8e
