It’s the first week of high school football and FSU commits and targets are back in action. We will do our best each week to report all the updates and results that we can locate from the past week’s games.
Wide receiver commit Malachi Wideman is considered a raw talent by many and his skills will need to be refined more in college, but Friday night he looked like a college ready player. Wideman and Venice Beach fell to IMG 46-7, but the 2020 commit finished with 9 catches for 128 yards and 1 touchdown reception. Reports are that IMG had to double or triple team Wideman to finally shut him down. The game also featured several other FSU commits: defensive end Josh Griffis, offensive tackle Thomas Shrader, offensive guard Alex Atcavage, and 2022 linebacker Melvin Jordan. Check out Wideman’s touchdown from a few different angles:

Next up is quarterback commit Jeff Sims. The Florida State commit led Sandalwood to a 20-14 win over Parker. Sims had touchdown run from 6 yards in the victory. Also playing for Sandalwood is 2021 legacy target Branden Jennings. The linebacker had 3 sacks in the game.
Lawrance Toafili was unable to help his team win the game this past weekend as Pinellas Park fell to Palmetto, 27-7. But that doesn’t mean the running back commit didn’t light up the stat sheet. Toafili rushed for 106 yards, which included a 40 yard touchdown run.
On the defensive side of the ball, defensive end commit Morven Joseph helped lead Lake Gibson to a 41-0 shutout of Hernando. Joseph had 6 tackles and a sack in the blowout.
Wide receiver target Agiye Hall showed why he was named the top receiver in the 2021 class when he hauled in a 78 yard touchdown reception in Armwood’s 38-3 rout of Plant. Check out the catch below:

A big 78-yard TD grab off a tipped pass.
A Punt Return TD (very questionable flag brought it back).

That’s all that we have for this week. If you know of any other information, let us know in the comments. Keep checking back each week for updates on #Tribe20 and the future.
