Florida State currently has a top 10 recruiting class for 2020. It has future stars at every position and so far, the recruits are living up to the ranking. Let’s check to see how FSU’s commits and targets performed this past weekend.
Quarterback commit Jeff Sims used the cancellation of Sandalwood’s game to check in on his fellow commits from Venice, wide receiver Malachi Wideman and offensive tackle Thomas Shrader. The commits and Venice beat Trinity Christian in double overtime, 50-49. And who scored the winning touchdown? It was Wideman going up and catching the game winner. Check out the catch below:

Florida State has a pair of talented running backs committed for 2020 in Jaylan Knighton and Lawrance Toafili. Knighton was off this past week, but Toafili and Pinellas Park faced off against fellow FSU commit Jayion McCluster and Largo. In the end, Pinellas Park won the game 26-22. Toafili had touchdown runs of 32 yards and 60 yards. One of our members, FCANOLE was there and reported this about the last touchdown run: “Toafili just ripped off about 60 yard td and chopped the whole way off the field...”
FSU may add another running back for the 2020 class, and one of the targets is Daijun Edwards of Colquitt County. Edwards helped lead his team to a 45-3 blowout of Thomasville. He ran for 2 touchdowns and 108 yards in the victory.
Morven Joseph and Keyshawn Greene are important part’s of Florida State’s defensive class in 2020. They helped lead their teams to victories this past week. Joseph with 6 tackles and Greene with 14 tackles. Check out Joseph with the Tomahawk Chop and Greene’s highlights below.
