The Polynesian bowl, according to their website, is described as “Where the world’s top high school football players gather to celebrate culture and play the game they love. The Polynesian Bowl is held annually during the Polynesian Football Hall of Fame Enshrinement Week.”
This year’s game lives up to that description as several of the top recruits for the 2020 class are participating, such as Clemson quarterback signee DJ Uiagalelei and Texas A&M wide receiver signee Demond Demas. Joining them this year is FSU’s top running back signee Lawrance Toafili. The top 200 player will be playing for Team Mauka. Toafili will be wearing #10 and should see plenty of snaps as Team Mauka only has two ranked running backs on the roster.
If you’d like to see the future Nole in action, you might need to set your DVR. The game is played tonight (1/19/20) at 7 PM local time in Hawaii on the CBS Sports Network, which means if you’re like most FSU supporters, this game is actually taking place early Sunday morning.
