It’s been quite a week for Florida State football. On Saturday, running back La’Damian Webb committed to the Seminoles. On Monday, news broke that recently hired defensive backs coach TJ Rushing was leaving for Texas A&M. And on Wednesday, FSU was able to secure the services of Auburn coach Marcus Woodson to replace the departing Rushing. And to top it all off? Florida State will host their first Junior Day of 2020 this weekend.

1/25 - 11 AM Update:

It’s already been a busy morning in Tallahassee.

ATH Xavian Sorey, LB Branden Jennings, QB Luke Altmyer, LB Ian Jackson, ATH Dink Jackson, OT Micah Morris, OT Micah Pettus, C Jake Slaughter, OT Caleb Johnson, OT Jakiah Leftwich, and S Ahmari Harvey have all been spotted on campus.

We’ll use this article to keep you updated about the players confirmed to be in Tallahassee via social media, our own Bud Elliott, or other sites. FSU is expecting over 20 recruits from the 2021 class. Below are some of the notable names:

  • S Ahmari Harvey, Tallahassee (FL): Harvey is a top-5 safety nationally. All the top programs are hoping to steal Harvey out of FSU’s backyard.
  • LB Branden Jennings, Jacksonville (FL): Jennings is the type of player you can build a class around. He is an absolute beast at linebacker and his top-50 ranking is well deserved. He’s the son of former FSU linebacker Bradley Jennings.
  • OLB Ian Jackson, Prattville (AL): Jackson is a 6’3”, 220 pound OLB blue chip linebacker. While not as decorated as Jennings, he is a solid prospect.
  • CB Omarion Cooper, Lehigh Acres (FL): Cooper is a top-10 cornerback nationally. (Confirmed via 247)
  • CB Terrion Arnold, Tallahassee (FL): Arnold is a cornerback with great size. FSU will have to fight top schools like Alabama for the local star.
  • OT Micah Morris, Kingsland (GA): Morris is a top-50 recruit and one of the top offensive tackles in the nation.
  • DT Marquis Robinson, Milton (FL): Robinson is a top-300 player and one of the top defensive tackles in the state of Florida. (Confirmed via 247)
  • OT Jakiah Leftwich, Atlanta (GA): An unranked tackle out of Georgia. Leftwich has great size at 6’6, 290.
  • OT Micah Pettus, Harvest (AL): Pettus is unranked at this point but one of the top tackles in Alabama.
  • WR Semaj James, Tallahassee (FL): James is another local recruit who has been to FSU several times.
  • ATH Xavian Sorey, Graceville (FL): Sorey is a top-100 player who is all over the field. He plays on both offense and defense for his high school team and already has offers from all the top programs.
  • ATH Charles Montgomery, Valrico (FL): Montgomery is a 4-star, top-300 player.
  • WR Trevonte Rucker, Ocala (FL): Rucker is a top-150 player in the nation and considered one of the top 25 wide receivers. (Confirmed via 247)
