Says FSU’s hospitality is “unmatched.”

Philip Riley (Twitter)

Philip Riley is a 3* DB from Valrico, Florida. The Class of 2021 defensive back is listed at 6’1 190 pounds and attends Bloomingdale High School. He has an 88 rating (33rd ranked corner & 68th best player in the state, according to 247 Sports).

He has offers from Florida State, Clemson, Oregon, and Southern Cal, among others.

He was on Florida State’s campus Thursday after teasing it the night before:

(by the way, how about the new graphics from FSU Recruiting?)

TN had the chance to get up with him and ask him some questions:

How was the visit?

“It was amazing! The whole coaching staff and community were showing a lot of love.”

Who all was with you?

“It was just my mom and me.”

What coaches did you hang out with in Tallahassee?

”I [hung] out with [Chuck] Cantor (Director of player personnel) for most of the day. I had individual conversations with Coach (Adam) Fuller, Coach Norvell, Coach (Marcus) Woodson, and Coach (Kenny) Dillingham.”

What position does FSU see you playing?

“When I talked to Coach Woodson he told me that he is going to put me at cornerback, [before potentially] transitioning me into a free safety who can play all over the field.”

How does FSU stack up right now?

“At this moment, FSU Is my leader. I’m considering Texas Tech, Oregon State, USC, Oregon, and Maryland.”

He doesn’t have a return trip scheduled, but “I definitely plan on coming back again.”

UPDATE: Riley tweeted this afternoon that he hopes to visit again soon:

And another update from Riley late Wednesday night (we’ll see if the Coronavirus cooperates):
