Last week, Jackson released his top-10 on Twitter:
TN caught up with Jackson, and he gave us a more detailed look at the 10:
Would you mind giving our readers the reason(s) behind each school?
“Auburn Tigers: A school that I grew up watching the most, and my mom and uncle are alumni. My sister attends there. They have a big-time home feeling.
Alabama Crimson Tide: The name speaks for itself. The championship-winning tradition and business-like mentality. They really take care of their guys and get the most out of them
LSU Tigers: [I] love the atmosphere and the coaching staff. You can still feel the energy from the National Championship.
Florida State Seminoles: I enjoyed when I visited. They show a lot of love, and I built a great relationship with Coach (Adam) Fuller & Coach (Chris) Marve.
Tennessee Volunteers: I’ve been there a few times, and they have so many ties to my home state so that makes me feel comfortable. Coach Pruitt is taking the program in the right direction.
Georgia Bulldogs: I’ve developed a great relationship with their staff, and they have welcomed me with open arms. My stepdad played baseball at Georgia, and I’ve visited campus and really enjoyed it. They are a program that’s ready to make some noise.
Nebraska Cornhuskers: They have so much tradition, and Coach Frost has the program in the right direction. My former teammate Cam Taylor plays there, as well, and is [an] impact player for them. So I like what they bring to the table.
Oklahoma Sooners: [They’re] another powerhouse program that dominates their conference. They always find a way to stay on top, and they have a lot of tradition.
Louisville Cardinals: [They were] my first Power 5 offer, and they have been consistent from day one. They’re back on the rise as a program, and I enjoyed my visit in the fall.
Texas A&M Aggies: I really like what they offer, and I’ve built a strong relationship with Coach Dameyune Craig. Coach Craig and my mom went to Auburn together. They have a lot to offer, and they’re doing what it takes to get better as a program.”
When do you either hope to make your final decision, and what’s the biggest thing you’re looking for in a school?
“Not sure when I’ll make a decision yet, but I want to attend somewhere that [feels like] home.”
