Cameron Miller is a 6’2 185 pound wide receiver from Memphis, TN.

The Class of 2022 prospect attends the Memphis Academy of Health Sciences.

He currently holds offers from Arkansas, Indiana, Memphis, Mississippi State, Missouri, and Tennessee.

Early last month, Miller got an offer from Florida State:

TN caught up with Miller to get his response to the offer and see where he’s at in the process:

How’d you receive the offer?

“Coach David Johnson (recruiting coordinator) called my head coach.”

What was your reaction when your coach told you?

“[I] was very humbled and blessed at [the] same time!

[I’m] excited about the opportunity to be offered by the great Florida State University with all its history and Championship-pedigree accumulated over the years!!!!”

What position would you like to play in college and what have teams said about their preference?

“I would play on either side of the ball, but if I had to choose it would be WR, and no school besides Indiana has told me [their preference].”

How would you describe your game at WR?

I can be [an] X or Slot WR. I’m a playmaker with good route-running skills. I can make all catches, [whether] it’s the deep-ball, or going across the middle where the big boys play. I’m a fearless WR.”

What players do you model your game after?

Julio Jones and DeAndre Hopkins because they are big WR like myself who can beat you over the top or in the short passing game with a physical presence to make tough catches in traffic.

Do you have any visits set up? How has COVID-19 changed recruiting for you?

“I planned to [visit] FSU. I also had other visits set during the spring. This virus has put a halt to the physical recruiting where you can be on campus at any school, [but] I understand that safety is the first priority during this time!”

After getting the offer, where does Florida State stand for you?

Florida State’s in my top-3 schools! I have a great knowledge of the coaching staff because Mike Norvell gave me my first offer while he was the head coach at Memphis, and Coach Johnson offered me while he was at Tennessee.

I feel comfortable with them as coaches and [their] leadership skills! I know they’ll turn the program around and put it back where it belongs amongst the elite programs in college football.

[In addition], Coach Marve offered me while he was at Mississippi State, and he’s [a] native Memphian—we have a great relationship.

So the future is very bright down in Tallahassee!

Go Noles!!”

What other schools are in your top-3?

“Memphis and Tennessee.”

What are the biggest factors when making your final decision?

“Building great relationships, academics, the right fit, and getting on the field early to showcase my GOD-given talents!”

What’s your timeline look like as far as making a final decision?

“My timeline for making a decision isn’t close—I’m still [going to] enjoy the recruiting process and see what college really wants me—I [want to] be somewhere where I know I’ll succeed.”
