The Class of 2021 prospect has offers from Arkansas, Baylor, and Ole Miss, among others.
Earlier this month, Florida State offered:
TN caught up with Williams recently to learn more about his recruitment:
How’d you receive the offer, and what’d it mean to you?
“Coach (Slade) Buckley (Defensive Assistant) recruits JUCOs (he’s actually my head coach’s son), and he called me asking what an offer from [Florida State] would mean to me, and I told him it would mean a lot with one player from Jones (Webb) already being signed there, and the fact they play in the ACC.”
Do you plan to visit FSU when the Dead Period’s over?
“Yes, it [is] definitely a place I [want to] visit.”
What other schools are you hoping to visit?
“Ole Miss and Arkansas.”
Did Coach Buckley discuss how they see you fitting in at FSU and why they want you?
“They said they knew I was versatile and could thrive in their system.”
How would you describe your style of play?
“I just do my best to play [physically] and hustle every play.”
What player do you look up to/model your game after?
“I know it probably [sounds] cliché, but Aaron Donald just because of how powerful and explosive he is.”
What are the biggest things you’re looking for in a school when making your final decision?
“Just a place where I can have a good relationship with the coaches, and a place that gives [me] the best chance of making it to the league.”
