Treyaun Webb recaps Florida State offer, visit

Will be tough to snatch from UGA.

Treyaun Webb (Twitter)

Treyaun Webb is a 6’0 188 pound athlete from Jacksonville, FL.

The Class of 2023 prospect attends Trinity Christian Academy.

Webb is a Georgia commit, but he also holds offers from Florida, Georgia Tech, Miami (FL), and Tennessee, among others.

He got an offer from Florida State in early March:

TN caught up with Webb recently to learn more about his recruitment:

First off, how’d you receive the offer, and what’d it mean to you?

“Coach Woodson brought me in his office and sat down with me and told me he’d love to have me in his secondary.

It felt good because my granddad (Reginald Webb) played at Florida State, so it’s kind of like a legacy.”

Have you had the chance to talk with your granddad about FSU, and if so, what has he told you?

“Of course—he wants me to go to FSU and play for his alma mater, but he’s happy with [wherever] I go.”

How much did the FSU visit/offer make you rethink it?

“A lot—as of right now, I’m committed to Georgia, but I have three years to change my mind, and FSU definitely put [itself] up there.”

What are the biggest things you’re looking for when choosing a school?

“Loyalty and effort—I want to feel wanted at a school, and I want to see an effort in recruiting me.”

What position do you like the best/plan to play in college?

“As of now, I’m considered an athlete, and I play mostly running back, but I want to play whatever gets me on the field faster—I hope cornerback does.”

That would explain why Coach Woodson was talking with you.

“Yes—he has a vision for me that I like.”

How much CB have you played—how would you describe your game?

“I play cornerback during 7v7 and some during the season—as far as my game at cornerback, I’m long and I have technique.”

Do you like to study any guys to model your game after?

“I watch Xavier Rhodes, Jalen Ramsey, Derek Stingley Jr., and Shaun Wade.”

A couple of FSU guys—our readers/FSU fans will LOVE that answer.

“Lol—yeah, I love FSU. I wanted to get back up there, but the virus happened.

I have family in Tally, so they can come see me play easily.”

Who all is there?

“Aunts, uncles, and grandma.”
