TN caught up with the back recently to learn more about his recruitment:

Could you start by just telling us how you got the offer and what it meant to you?

“Coach Johnson offered me, and it really meant a lot—it was a blessing.”

Do you have a prior relationship with Coach Johnson?

“I met him when he was at UT, and he’s good friends with my 7v7 coach (Coach James).”

Let’s make sure we’re getting this straight—Coach Norvell offered you when he was at Memphis, and Coach YAC offered you when he was at UT, right?

They obviously believe in you to have offered you three different times—that must mean a lot.

“Yes, sir—it definitely does.”

How would you describe your game?

I definitely feel like I’m a versatile player—I can catch, I can make plays in [the] open field, and [I’m good at] running power and counter.”

What players do you idolize?

Some players I idolize [are] Clyde Edwards-Helaire and Todd Gurley because out of the RB group [they’re] athletes.”

Did you grow up a fan of any program in particular?

“Most of my life I lived in Madison, Alabama, so I was [an] Alabama fan.”

Are you planning visit to Tallahassee after the Dead Period?

“Yes, sir—I’ll definitely visit FSU when the Dead Period is lifted.”
