It’s been a busy few weeks for Florida State as it relates to defensive backs. First, 4-star cornerback Hunter Washington committed to the ‘Noles on May 12th. The Seminoles quickly followed that up with a commitment from Kevin Knowles earlier this week. And now, the Florida State Seminoles have made a top list of two defensive backs in one day. Earlier, it was 4-star safety Corey Collier Jr. and now it’s cornerback Kamari Lassiter:

The talented defensive back from American Christian Academy in Tuscaloosa, Alabama measures 5’11 165 pounds. He has an 89 rating (high 3*) from the 247 Sports Composite List. The sites consider him the 349th best player in the nation (25th best CB). Tomahawk Nation previously provided a breakdown of Lassiter’s skills in our state of recruiting article:
Lassiter is one of those “annoying” cornerbacks that WRs just can’t discard. He’s constantly in your face, jamming you at the line and then draping you downfield. He brings the mentality of a LB in a CB body because he loves to deliver a crushing hit despite his diminutive frame. He also does a great job baiting quarterbacks.
Lassiter has a connection with defensive backs coach Marcus Woodson, from the latter’s time at Auburn.
