Dietrick Pennington is a 6’5 326 pound offensive tackle (* he’s listed as a defensive tackle on 247 Sports, and they rank him as an offensive guard) from Whitehaven, TN.
The Class of 2021 prospect attends Evangelical Christian School and has a 92 rating (4 star) from the 247 Sports Composite List. The sites consider him the 210th best player nationally (12th best OG* and 4th best player in Tennessee).
Pennington has listed offers from Auburn, Clemson, Florida State, Georgia, LSU, Memphis, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, South Carolina, and Tennessee (with his size and talent, there’s a great chance he has many more offers, but they just aren’t public knowledge).
Saturday night, he released his final five schools, and it included Florida State, along with Auburn, Clemson, Georgia, and LSU:
I would like to thank God for the opportunities to use the gifts He’s given me. I thank my grandparents for helping me become the man I am. Thanks to all who recruited me. Pennington would be a huge grab for Alex Atkins, as he looks to rebuild FSU’s offensive line.
As always, be sure to check out TN’s latest recruiting thread for all things Florida State football recruiting.
