TN caught up with the talented defensive end to learn more:
How’d you get the FSU offer, and what’d it mean to you?
“It was a call from Mike Norvell, which meant a lot to me.”
Sounds like you’re a priority—what’d he say to you?
“He said he loved my film and wanted to offer me.”
Did Coach Norvell mention how badly they want you? FSU is obviously in need of quality defensive ends and early playing-time would potentially be available. Was that discussed, and how much of a priority is that for you?
“Yeah, he [mentioned] that, and that would be a good thing for early playing time.”
How would you describe your style for those who haven’t seen you play?
“Fast-moving [and] gets after the ball.”
What player(s) do you model your game after?
“Cameron Jordan.”
What do you know about Florida State?
“Not a lot.”
Do you plan to visit FSU when the Dead Period is lifted?
“Yes, sir.”
How difficult would it be for someone (FSU or otherwise) to get you out of Louisiana?
“Not difficult at all.”
What coach(es) do you speak with from FSU and how often do you talk?
“I [talk] to Mike Norvell almost daily.”
When do you hope to have your final decision made (will you enroll early)?
“No, I won’t enroll early.”
What are the most important factors in choosing a school?
“Having a great family atmosphere.”
