Highly-skilled receiver is seeing his recruitment ramp up.

Keon Coleman is a 6’4 185 pound wide receiver from Opelousas, LA.

The Class of 2021 prospect attends Opelousas Catholic School and has a 91 rating (4*) from the 247 Sports Composite List. The sites consider him the 255th best player in America (47th best WR and 7th best player in Louisiana).

Coleman holds offers from Auburn, Baylor, Louisville, Miami (FL), Michigan State, Mississippi State, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Ole Miss, Penn State, South Carolina, Syracuse, Texas A&M, and Virginia, among others.

He received his Florida State offer in early March:

TN has been in touch with Coleman since before the Seminoles offered, and it actually started when the talented receiver sent us his highlight video.

We let him know we liked what we saw and asked about his interest in Florida State. He told us he was definitely interested and planned to visit in the spring; he was just waiting on the offer. He added: “Gonna be fun.”

Eventually, recruiting coordinator and running backs coach David Johnson (also the area recruiter for Louisiana) extended the offer, and Coleman was quite pleased: “I was excited for them to give me a chance to continue my academic and athletic career.”

He doesn’t necessarily have a list of favorites, but Florida State is “up there” and he doesn’t know what schools he’ll visit when the Dead Period finally ends, but he told us he’ll definitely make the trek to Tallahassee.

As you might’ve figured out, he isn’t overly verbose, but he mentioned to us this past weekend that FSU is in constant contact with him.
