Recruiting:
Florida State sent out a bunch of offers yesterday — including blue chips in four-star 2022 wide receiver Kevin Coleman (No. 2 receiver in the class and No. 1 player in Missouri), four-star 2021 defensive lineman Shemar Turner and four-star 2022 cornerback Daylen Everette. Get caught up on all the updates (including ones from the past week you might’ve missed) join in the conversation and ask our recruiting team any questions on your mind in our constantly-updated Florida State Seminoles football recruiting thread.
Four-star 2021 cornerback Savion Jones, who has Florida State in his final six schools, spoke with Tomahawk Nation’s Josh Pick about his recruitment so far.
Football:
Florida State had the worst APR in the country last year — now, after a dedicated effort by Willie Taggart to emphasize education and a continuation of that by Mike Norvell, the Seminoles have a new spring semester GPA record.
Norvell joined Charlie Ward earlier this week to talk program philosophy and culture building — catch some of the highlights and watch the full thing here.
Strength and conditioning coach Josh Storms, who we spoke with last month, showed off the Seminoles’ newest training equipment:

Here’s a highlight video of five of Florida State’s top plays from last season (*cue Jeopardy music as everybody comes up with their own version of the same joke about FSU having even five good plays to show*):

At 52 years old, former Miami Dolphins and Florida State running back Sammie Smith put in the work, and is now officially a college degree holder.
A new home for former Florida State Seminoles and Super Bowl champion Cam Erving:
Cowboys have agreed to terms with former Chiefs OL Cameron Erving, source said. A one-year contract. Not formally signed yet, but that is expectation, pending physical.

Our good friends at SB Nation’s San Diego Pasadena Venice Beach San Andreas Los Angeles Chargers blog, Bolts from the Blue, spoke with undrafted free agent signee and and former Florida State Seminoles tight end Gabe Nabers as he prepares to make the transition to the next level.
Basketball:
It’s NBA Mock Draft season — and the more that come out, the better the prospects for Florida State’s two entrees look. Jeff Goodman of Stadium has Devin Vassell going No. 8 to the Charlotte Hornets and Patrick Williams heading to the Minnesota Timberwolves at No. 16, while Sports Illustrated has the duo on their overall NBA Draft Big Board at No. 11 and No. 12, respectively.
Other Sports:
Florida State’s women’s cross country team sees your spring academic program record, FSU football, and is asking you to hold their beer and javelin (I know that’s track and field, please just let me have this):

The Florida State Seminoles Rocket League squad is headed to the playoffs this weekend:
