Kendrick Law is a 5’11 185 pound athlete from Shreveport, LA.
The Class of 2022 prospect attends Captain Shreve High School and has an 89 rating (high 3*) from 247 Sports. They consider him the 29th best athlete in America and 11th best player in Louisiana.
Law already holds offers from Arkansas, Auburn, Georgia, LSU, Michigan State, Mississippi State, Nebraska, Oklahoma State, Ole Miss, South Carolina, Texas, and Virginia, among others.
He received his Florida State offer in late March (only UVA offered Law sooner):
Law got the offer during a phone call with David Johnson (running backs/recruiting coordinator/area recruiter) and describes it as “rewarding to know that someone is looking at all the hard work I put in.” Even though both are from Louisiana, it’s the first time the Captain Shreve athlete heard of Coach YAC.
He doesn’t necessarily give the Seminoles an edge for the early belief, either, simply saying “it makes me [want to] work harder and show others it’s possible, and you can do it.”
Law doesn’t know much about Florida State, other than its a big program, and the school has a Criminal Justice major, something that interests him once his playing days are complete.
Law currently plays wide receiver, running back, free safety, and cornerback. He doesn’t know where colleges will use him, but he describes his style this way: “when my helmet goes on, all playing and friends are over—I come to win.”
He’s obviously pleased with the FSU offer, but realizes nothing is a guarantee and anything can be taken at a moment’s notice. He concluded with this: “I’m always [going to] work harder [than] others and go above and beyond to be great.”
