Julian Armella is well known around these parts, as an uber-talented legacy recruit.
Wednesday afternoon, the 4-star offensive line prospect released an early top-10, which included the Florida State Seminoles:

We spoke to Armella earlier in the week, and he broke the list down for us:
ALABAMA CRIMSON TIDE
“They’re one of those top-tier schools that produces NFL players.
They just had one of the top picks in the NFL Draft from their offensive line.
It’s always been a dream of mine to go to a nationally renowned program.”
CLEMSON TIGERS
“They’re seemingly always on top.
A big program which sends a bunch of dudes to the NFL.
Good academics—walking out of there with a degree would be major.
Great, winning program.”
FLORIDA GATORS
“UF has shown a lot of love.
On my unofficial visit, Dan Mullen treated me like one of the players.
They’re doing a very good job recruiting me.”
FLORIDA STATE SEMINOLES
“My dad was a legacy there, and it’d be great to help bring them back to the top!
FSU’s one of the schools recruiting me hardest.
I’ve got a great relationship with Coach Atkins and Coach Norvell.”
GEORGIA BULLDOGS
“Powerhouse school for offensive linemen.
They’re good at sending guys to the NFL, and that’s what I aspire to do.”
LSU TIGERS
“Another school recruiting me very hard.
Always looked up to them growing up.
Marcus Dumervil and Marlon Martinez, offensive line teammates from St. Thomas Aquinas are there, and they tell me great things.
Really good relationship with offensive line coach James Cregg.”
MIAMI (FL) HURRICANES
“A great school that’s close to home.
Great connection with Manny Diaz and offensive line coach Garin Justice.
Watched big games between Miami and FSU growing up, so I’m blessed to have an opportunity to play somewhere like there.”
MICHIGAN WOLVERINES
“All the offensive linemen there seem to produce.
They’re a traditional blue blood.
Always have excellence.”
OHIO STATE BUCKEYES
“Another one of the great, powerhouse programs.
Nothing but love and doing a great job recruiting me and staying in contact.”
TENNESSEE VOLUNTEERS
“They’re currently killing it in the recruiting game.
One of the great schools and recruiting me very hard.”
Armella concluded our conversation by saying he’s looking for “a college that cares and shows continual interest in me.”
Our own NoleThruandThru doesn’t mince words when it comes to Armella’s importance to FSU:
“How can you not love and root for a kid on the OL who models himself after Anthony freakin Munoz? Armella is a starter the second he sets foot on campus. He’s the anchor on the OL for 3 years with potential to be a team captain, after which he is a first round draft pick. He leaves FSU as one of the best OL ever to put on the uniform, in the discussion as THE best. (This is all assuming health isn’t negatively impacted, obviously).
I try not to use hyperbole when I talk about kids because there’s way too much of it in recruiting already, but that’s how highly I think of Armella. I’ve planted my flag and will not move off this hill. Julian Armella is the most important recruit that FSU needs to land in the last decade.”
