Francois Nolton Jr. “excited” and “shocked” by Florida State offer

Francois Nolton Jr. is a 6’4 225 pound strong-side defensive end from Miami, FL.

The Class of 2022 prospect attends Miami Edison Senior High School and has a 90 rating (4*) from 247 Sports. They consider him the 16th best SDE and 36th best player in Florida.

Nolton Jr. has offers from Alabama, Florida, LSU, Miami (FL), Penn State, South Carolina, TCU, Tennessee, Texas A&M, and USC, among others.

What was your reaction to the FSU offer?

“I was excited [and] shocked FSU offered me that day.”

Who called and what was that conversation like?

“My head coach put me on the phone with the new RB coach (David Johnson), and he offered me, and he instantly started building a relationship with me.”

When you think of Florida State, what comes to mind?

“Tradition, swagger and every time I think about it, the [tomahawk chop pops] in my head.”

How would you describe your game?

“I’m a good football player—I’m best at rushing the passer, and I feel I can’t be stopped.”

What player(s) do you look up to/model your game after?

Brian Burns, Khalil Mack, and Gregory Rousseau.

Are you planning to visit FSU when the Dead Period’s over?

“Yes.”

What other schools do you hope/plan to visit?

“Alabama, LSU, Florida, South Carolina, and UCF.”

What are the biggest things you’re looking for in a school?

“Winning tradition, relationship with coaches, family feeling, and my degree.”
