Here’s a statement from his head coach at Diablo Valley, Mike Darr (from his Twitter):
Built his own weight room in his garage, on the field every day, killing it in the classroom even with the change online, no excuses or complaints, just taking control of how he wants his life story to read! No one deserves this more. Congrats Koby!! Unbelievable things ahead!
As always, make sure to get more info by checking out Tomahawk Nation’s recruiting thread.
11 AM UPDATE 6/18:
We spoke to Gross after the offer to give you a better look inside the process:
What was your reaction to the offer?
“When (Coach) Thomsen said it, I had to mute my phone—I was juiced!
I sent him my 3 week summer semester grade, and he told me to call him—he was talking about official visits, then he said: ‘oh yeah, Coach Norvell gave me the green light to offer you.’”
What was your convo like with Coach Thomsen?
“It was a good conversation—he was saying how the coaches love my versatility.”
Stay tuned, as we plan to have more from Gross soon.
