Extremely blessed to receive an offer from my Dream school The Florida State University #GoNoles @RivalsBryan @Coach_Marve @Andrew_Ivins @DemetricDWarren @247Sports pic.twitter.com/JUCTrZcURH
TN caught up with Baxter after the offer to learn more:
What’d the Florida State offer mean to you?
“It meant a lot because growing up, all I knew was FSU, and when I got the offer, I was extremely grateful because that’s my dream school.”

With whom did you speak?
“Coach Marve [and] Coach YAC (David Johnson).”
What was the conversation like?
“Coach Marve said ‘this [is] the offer you wanted, and you got it.’
Coach YAC told me to ‘keep grinding and keep working because I have the ability to be one of the best backs.’”
So they see you at RB—how would you describe your style?
“Very patient, but explosive.”
What player(s) do you look up to/model your game after?
“Growing up I liked Chris Johnson and Eric Dickerson, but nowadays, I like Le’Veon Bell.”
Do you plan on visiting FSU when the Dead Period’s over?
“Yes, sir—with Christian Leary.”
What other schools are you hoping/planning to visit?
“Probably West Virginia.”
What are the biggest things you’re looking for in a school?
“Me and my dad are close, so I want a place that feels like home.
Also, of course, being able to play early.
And once I pick what I want to major in, that’d be a factor in my decision.”
