Big news for former Florida State Seminoles basketball player Christ Koumadje, who was named Defensive Player of the Year in the NBA’s G League for his work as part of the Delaware Blue Coats, the affiliate of the Philadelphia 76ers:

G League announces Delaware Blue Coats rookie center Christ Koumadje has been named the Defensive Player of the Year.

Koumadje led the league in blocks (4.0) and total blocks (133).
For the season, Koumadje averaged 11.3 points and 10.9 rebounds.
