Holden Staes is a 6’4 220 pound tight end from Atlanta, GA.
The Class of 2022 prospect attends Westminster School.
Although Staes is currently unranked, he holds offers from Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Michigan, Michigan State, Nebraska, North Carolina, Ohio State, Oregon, Penn State, South Carolina, Tennessee, USC, and Virginia Tech, among many others, so it seems the sites are way off on this one, as Staes will eventually be a blue-chip prospect.
Early Monday afternoon, he was offered by Florida State:

6/23 PM UPDATE:
We spoke to Staes after he received the offer to learn more:
Who’d you speak with when getting the offer?
“Coach Thomsen.”
What was the conversation like?
“It was a good conversation—we talked for about 10 minutes. Said that he and the staff watched my film last week and thought I’d fit really well in their system. He asked what I was interested in studying, told me a little bit about Coach Norvell, and then he made the offer.”
What was your reaction to the offer/Coach T’s compliments about your game?
“I was definitely excited—Florida State’s a great football school with a lot of tradition, so it’s definitely an honor to receive an offer from them. And I really appreciated Coach Thomson’s comments about my game and enjoyed talking to him.”
Are you planning to visit FSU when the Dead Period’s over?
“Yeah definitely. Would love to see the campus and possibly a game.”
Stay tuned to TN, as we’ll have a full interview with the star tight end prospect soon.
