TN caught up with Willis after the offer to learn more about his recruitment:
How’d you receive the Florida State offer, and what’d it mean to you?
“I received the offer by talking to Coach Woodson—we hit if off very well.
The Florida State [offer] means a lot to me—to get an offer from them is a dream come true, and I feel highly blessed. FSU is my dream school, and I thank God for another blessing!”
With the offer, did FSU move to the top of your list?
“Yes, sir.”
I assume you plan on visiting FSU when the Dead Period is finally over, right?
“No doubt—FSU is my top school to visit.”
What other schools do you plan/hope to visit?
“Ole Miss, Florida, Georgia Tech, Auburn, Tennessee, and Oklahoma State.”
How would you describe your game?
I’m a student of the game.
I play fast and physical, and I love to talk trash—that feeling is so [good] when you get the other team [off their] game.”
What player(s) do you look up to/model your game after?
“I look up to Isaiah Simmons, and the great Sean Taylor.”
Finally—what are the biggest things you’re looking for in a school?
“Relationship [between] the player and coach because [they’re] the people you have to go to battle with.
[Also] the school life, and the fans—I figured out the fan base can help you a lot.”
