On Wednesday, offensive tackle Amarius Mims announced that the Florida State Seminoles made his top-six. This is huge news for the Seminoles as Mims is consistently ranked as a top-3 offensive tackle nationally:

Currently, the 247 composite rankings has Mims listed as the number two offensive tackle in the nation and the 6th best player overall. He is a composite 5-star, who measures in at 6’7 315 pounds. He plays his high school ball in Georgia and is currently considered a lean to either the home state Georgia Bulldogs or the Alabama Crimson Tide.
At this point, it shouldn’t have to be said, but Mims would be an instant impact at Florida State. He would immediately challenge for a starting tackle spot if he were to commit to FSU. And that evaluation isn’t just in regards to next year, after he graduates. Many believe that Mims could compete for a starting spot this year on Florida State’s offensive line.
Credit to offensive line coach Alex Atkins for giving the Seminoles a chance at Mims’ elite talent.
