Recruiting:
Florida State Seminoles football made the top six for 2021 offensive tackle Amarius Mimis, one of the best offensive tackles in the country.
From our State of Recruiting piece looking at offensive tackles:
Amarius Mims. 6’7 315 pound 5-star from Bleckley County High School (Cochran, GA). Offered in May of 2019, Mims made it to FSU’s campus twice last year. The heavy Georgia and Alabama lean is arguably the best tackle in the 2021 class. His long arms allow him to keep defenders within reach and off-balance. He seemingly has very little bad weight and has the frame to pack on additional pounds.
2021 quarterback commit Luke Altmyer is doing his part to bring in Mims:

Florida State football got a direct $1 million donation from Dr. William T. Hold of Austin, Texas, who also has his name on the university’s risk management and insurance program.
“Obviously, my first passion regarding FSU is and will always be the Dr. William T. Hold/The National Alliance Program in Risk Management, but I do love our football program,” he said in a statement, “and I have enjoyed getting to know Coach Norvell. He is a special man, and I praise my good friend President Thrasher and Athletics Director David Coburn for making him our Head Football Coach.”
