Ahmari Harvey is a top-200 prospect for the 2021 class. He is a top-10 player at his position nationally. And he just so happens to plays his high school football in FSU’s back yard. Today, Harvey announced that the local team, the Florida State Seminoles, made his top-5 cut:

Harvey is listed at 5’11 170 pounds and as mentioned above, is one of top safeties in the nation. He is part of the 2021 class and plays high school at Florida State University School. Harvey has been discussed in several articles on this site, such as Tomahawk Nation’s state of recruiting safety article where TimScribble and NoleThruandThru described the 4-star’s play as:

Harvey’s a magnet to the ball on defense. He does a great job reading offenses and keeps his eyes on the backfield. When in coverage, he gets his head turned around consistently, enabling him to make plays on the ball. He has excellent athletic ability which he displays by out-leaping receivers for the ball.

Harvey was almost most recently mentioned in the Tribe21’s direction in recruiting discussion.

Florida State at one time appeared to be falling behind rival schools in pursuit of Harvey, but made a late surge in his recruitment. The Seminoles were able to receive a visit from Harvey days before the pandemic shutdown period.

If Harvey were to choose Florida State, he has a great opportunity to add to the already historic legacy of #DBU. For more information on Harvey and all things recruiting, keep checking out Tomahawk Nation’s recruiting thread.
