2021 tight end Jalen “Red” Shead is a prospect who has seen his offer list blow up in recent months. One such offer came from Florida State and head coach Mike Norvell. Shead is an unranked prospect on the composite but holds offers from Alabama, LSU, and South Carolina along with many others.
Today, Shead dropped his top-5 list and included Florida State Seminoles football:

Shead is listed as 6’4 and 235 pounds. He is a tight end prospect who is blowing up nationally while not currently being ranked. Shead is part of the 2021 class and hails from Olive Branch, Mississippi. He plays his football at Olive Branch HS.
Shead was offered by Florida State on June 8th. Mike Norvell and the Seminoles coaching staff are looking to bring in multiple tight ends in this class. Rebuilding the tight end room has been a priority since arriving. FSU tight end coach Chris Thomsen is heading up Shead’s recruitment.
