Florida State’s recent struggles on the offensive line — both in recruiting and on the field — have been well-documented. Tomahawk Nation’s Whiteboard Wednesday series has examined this.
On Friday, the Seminoles got some unwelcome news on the recruiting trail as 2021 offensive lineman Jake Slaughter flipped his FSU commitment to Florida:

Slaughter — a three-star prospect and the No. 9 center in the class of 2021 according to 247 Sports — originally committed to the Seminoles in April. He was expected to be part of solving the issues on the offensive line, but the three-star decommitment leaves Florida State with just one offensive line commitment, center Bryson Estes - a recent commit himself.
Five-star offensive tackle Tristian Leigh left FSU out of his top five yesterday, while five-star offensive tackle Amarius Mims included the Seminoles in his top six last week.
