Shambre Jackson is a highly sought-after defensive line prospect. He stands at 6’4.5 252 pounds and attends Boone High School in Orlando, FL.

Jackson is a 4-star (91 rating) on the 247 Sports Composite List. They consider him the 219th best player nationally (17th best SDE and 30th best player in Florida).

The Class of 2021 standout sports offers from Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, LSU, Miami, Nebraska, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Tennessee, and Texas A&M, among others.

Wednesday night, Jackson narrowed his list to five schools, and included the Florida State Seminoles, along with the Alabama Crimson Tide, Auburn Tigers, LSU Tigers, and Texas A&M Aggies:

Florida State is thought to be in very good position for Jackson, but the Seminoles are obviously fighting with some of the top programs in America.

Tomahawk Nation caught up with Jackson in the spring to learn more about his recruitment:

Which coaches are you closest with at FSU and how often do they talk to you?

“Coach Adam Fuller and Coach Odell, and they talk to me at least every day.”

Did you hit it off with any coaches in particular?

“I like all of them. They are all cool people, [and] I enjoy interacting with them.”

Where on the field do they like you?

“They said I will be a DT and a DE.”

What player do you model your game after?

“Aaron Donald.”

How would you describe your game?

“[I’m] fast for my size, [but I’m also a] powerful [player, who likes to use my] hands.”

What would it mean for you to be a part of Coach Norvell’s first full recruiting class & help bring Florida State back to glory (as a Florida kid)?

“It would mean a lot.”
