In a similar vein of what was allowed for spring athletes (that several Florida State Seminoles athletes have taken advantage of), the NCAA is on the path towards allowing seniors to retain a year of eligibility and not count against the sports’ scholarship limit:
"The financial aid of fall sport senior student-athletes who take advantage of the additional year of eligibility and extended clock should not count against team limits in 2021-22."

Recruiting:
The recruiting class of 2023 got its new ratings on Wednesday, and one major beneficiary was Florida State commit Cedric Baxter Jr., who earned a fourth star.
One of the top quarterbacks in the class and FSU target Malachi Nelson was rated as the No. 6 QB in 2023 on that new list — and his teammate Makai Lemon, the No. 1 athlete in the class, received a Florida State offer Wednesday.
Four-star 2021 defensive end Shambre Jackson, who visited FSU in the spring, included the Seminoles in his top 5.
JUCO tight end commit Koby Gross, who hails from California but is currently living in Tampa, is headed to campus:

Football:
During yesterday’s media availability, we got the chance to hear from head coach Mike Norvell on his team’s condensed practice (focused mainly on special teams and situational drills), defensive line coach Odell Haggins on the lessons he’s imparting to his players, defensive back Travis Jay and defensive end Quashon Fuller about their journey’s back to the field and punter Alex Mastromanno about his adjustments to American football and struggles with bad coffee and poor Australian accents.
This has to be a joke @AlexMastromanno

We’ll be hearing from Norvell and other members of the team starting at 11:30 a.m. today.
Can’t get enough of the video analysis that our big brains on the scheme team have been knocking out lately? CoachAB and Kevin Little (XsAndNoles) break down the film (well, highlights) of FSU’s freshmen quarterbacks, Chubba Purdy and Tate Rodemaker.

And some more PFF praise for a Florida State defender, this time Asante Samuel Jr.:
Lowest Completion % allowed in Press Coverage (returning CBs):

➤ Asante Samuel Jr, FSU - 12%
➤ Keyshawn Paul, UConn - 24%
➤ Donte Martin, UNM - 26%
➤ Ahmad Gardner, Cincinnati - 28%
➤ T.J. Carter, Memphis - 29% pic.twitter.com/EO8SYDSQT4
FSU? In a top 25? CBS put Florida State at No. 22 in its preseason poll.
continues.

Contract talks broke off Tuesday between the #Vikings and star RB Dalvin Cook, sources tell me and @RapSheet.
— Tom Pelissero (@TomPelissero) August 19, 2020
Talks could restart later, of course. But for now, Cook has said he's focused on Week 1 as he enters last year of his rookie deal, with franchise tag looming in 2021.
FSU-on-FSU here at #RamsCamp early on! Jalen Ramsey just sat Cam Akers down with a big hit on the sideline. Not sure the rookie RB knew that’s how 11-on-11s were going to be today. Drew a huge reaction from the @RamsNFL defensive sideline. Very likely to see that on #HardKnocks.
