Victor Burley honored by Florida State offer

Victor Burley is a 6’4 255 pound strong-side defensive end from Warner Robins, GA.

The Class of 2023 prospect attends Warner Robins High School and has a 92 rating (4-star) from 247 Sports. They consider him the 33rd best player in his class (7th best SDE and 3rd best player in Georgia).

Burley already holds offers from Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Minnesota, South Carolina, and Tennessee.

In early May, he was offered by Florida State:

TN caught up with Burley recently to get a better look inside his recruitment:

How’d you receive the offer?

“My coach talked to Coach Norvell.”

What was your reaction to the offer?

“I was happy, but I stayed humble—I was also honored that he offered me.”

When you hear the name “Florida State,” what comes to mind?

Jameis Winston.”

How would you describe your game?

“Great but not great enough—always some room to improve.”

What player(s) do you look up to/model your game after?

“Reggie White.”

What do you like to do for fun outside of football?

“Something outside—I’m really an outside person.”

How about a fun/random thing about you that people might not know?

“Love to read books. [Also], I’m a multi-sport athlete—I played every sport in middle school, while I was in band and later on in chorus.”

Anything in particular you like to read?

“The Help and The Invention of Hugo Cabret.”

Do you plan to visit Florida State when the Dead Period’s over?

“Whenever I can get down there I will.”

What are the biggest things you’re looking for in a school?

“Good community, good graduation rates, and if I leave school and enter the draft, I could come back and finish.”

Any idea what you want to study in college?

“Physical therapy, or something in the medical field.”
