Dylan Dixson is a 6’2 190 pound safety/outside linebacker from Pearland, TX.
The Class of 2022 prospect attends Pearland High School and has an 89 rating (high 3-star) from the 247 Sports Composite List. The sites consider him the 336th best player in America (28th best OLB and 44th best player in Texas).
He also plays for the South Texas Elite 7v7 squad.
Dixson has offers from Arizona State, Houston, Iowa State, and Tennessee, among others.

Who’d you speak with when getting the offer?
“Coach Chris Thomsen.”
How was the conversation?
“It was very good—just to hear from a school I grew up watching was amazing.”
When the name Florida State comes up, what/who are some of the first things/people that come to your mind?
“DBU and awesome guys like Deion Sanders, Derwin James, and Jalen Ramsey.”
Do you know Coach Thomsen at all from his time at TCU?
“Yes, sir—he did some great things there. TCU has always been a fan favorite because LT (LaDainian Tomlinson) grew up in my dad’s home town of Marlon, Texas.”
Do you plan to visit FSU when the Dead Period is over?
“Yes, sir—I think it’ll mean a lot to me and my family and just show all the kids watching football on Saturday that the sky’s the limit.”
What other schools do you hope/plan to visit?
“Texas A&M, Clemson, Georgia, Baylor, and Tennessee.”
Did you discuss college positions with FSU at all?
“No, sir—we discussed a little of my film and how he wanted to get me with the DB coach when they get back in the office.”
How would you describe your style of play?
“I think I’m as versatile as they come, and I love to tackle!”
What player(s) do you look up to/model your game after?
“Jamal Adams and Derwin James.”
What do you like to do outside of football?
“Fishing, fishing, and fishing.”
